From October 25th to 26th, the Dragon Boat Tug-of-war competition of Wuhan University's Sports Games concluded successfully at the East Lake Sailing Base. The team from the School of Mathematics and Statistics demonstrated excellent skills and solid foundation, securing the ‌8th place in the men's division‌ and ‌9th place in the women's division‌, marking a significant breakthrough for the school in recent years and showcasing the students' uplifting spirit.

"One minute on stage requires ten years of practice." Before the official competition, our team underwent intensive training. The soreness in their arms and the tension in their backs spoke volumes about the rigorous preparation. With each powerful stroke and every adjustment of rhythm, the ripples on the training water surface at the Engineering Division carried their sweat, eventually turning into splashing waves on East Lake. Despite having almost no members from the university's dragon boat team, the athletes overcame numerous challenges for team honor, never giving up even against formidable opponents. Through unity and full effort, they secured victory after victory.

In the future, students of the School of Mathematics and Statistics will continue to embody their resilient qualities, striving for excellence and shining in various sports events.
