In this talk, we will mainly focus on Chern conjecture for minimal hypersurfaces in a sphere. We will first introduce the background of Chern conjecture. Then we will discuss important progress on Chern conjecture and some generalizations. This talk is based on the joint work with Prof. Hongwei Xu and Prof. Li Lei.
