We consider attractors X of compact families F of similarities of R. It is conjectured that if F is uncountable and X is not a singleton then the Huasdorff dimension of X is 1. We shall restricted ourself in the setting when F is homogeneous (all maps of F have the same contraction ratio) and present some progress in that direction.
